Welcome to GuruCool! These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") apply to the GuruCool learning service on gurucoolin.com and in the GuruCool mobile app (the "Service"), run by Gurucool Manissha Studio, Bajaj Niwas, 712, Linking Road, Khar (W), Mumbai 400052, India ("GuruCool", "we", "us").

GuruCool is made for children. A parent or legal guardian ("Parent") agrees to these Terms for themselves and on behalf of their child. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle your child's information and is part of these Terms.

1. Who can use GuruCool

A Parent who is at least 18 years old must set up the account with the child, give consent, and create the 4-digit parent PIN during sign-up.
The Parent is responsible for the child's use of GuruCool and for all purchases made on the account.
The Parent agrees to keep the parent PIN private. Anyone who knows the PIN can make purchases, change settings and delete the account.
Please give accurate information when signing up, and keep the sign-in phone number or email secure. Tell us straight away if you think someone else is using the account.
Each account is for one child. You may not sell, transfer or share an account.

2. Parent controls

The parent PIN is needed to buy coins or courses, open settings and parent controls, log out, delete the account, and share or open outside links.
Parents can set a daily screen-time limit for lessons, change the PIN, see and unblock blocked users, and delete the account.
If you forget the PIN, you can reset it by signing in again with the account's own phone number or Google account.

3. Coins, courses and payments

Some courses are free. Others are unlocked with GuruCool coins.
Coin packs are bought through Razorpay and need the parent PIN. A coin pack renews automatically at the price and interval shown at checkout, until it is cancelled or reaches the number of renewals shown at checkout. You can cancel future renewals at any time by contacting us at support@gurucoolin.com or through the mandate settings in your payment app.
Coins are valid for the number of days shown with the coin pack. Unused coins expire after that.
Coins have no cash value. They cannot be exchanged for money or transferred to another account.
Unlocking a course with coins gives the account access to that course for as long as GuruCool offers it.
Referral rewards, when offered, are given as coins under the conditions shown in the app at that time.
Prices include applicable taxes unless stated otherwise. We may change prices or coin packs, and we will tell you before a change affects a renewal.
Refunds are covered by our Refund Policy.

4. Being kind and safe: community and chat rules

GuruCool has a community for questions and a chat feature. To keep everyone safe, children (and anyone using the account) must:

Be kind and respectful. No bullying, mean comments, bad words or scary content.
Never share personal details such as phone numbers, addresses, school names, emails, social media handles or links, and never ask others for theirs.
Not ask anyone to move the conversation to another app, or to meet in person.
Only post their own words, and not copy GuruCool lessons or other people's work.
Not spam, cheat, or try to break or misuse the Service.

How we keep the community safe:

Chat only works between children who have accepted each other's chat request, and only text can be sent.
An automatic filter blocks posts, comments and messages with bad language or personal contact details.
Anyone can block or report a user, post, comment or message. Content reported by several users is hidden automatically, and our team reviews reports.
We may remove content, limit features, or suspend or close accounts that break these rules.

Children keep ownership of what they post. By posting, they allow GuruCool to show that content inside the Service. Deleting a post, or the account, removes it.

5. Lessons and content

We give you a personal, non-commercial, non-transferable right to watch GuruCool lessons and use quizzes through the Service.
All lessons, videos, quizzes and other content belong to GuruCool or its licensors and are protected by copyright. You may not copy, record, download (except with the in-app offline feature), share or sell them.
Downloaded lessons are for offline viewing in the GuruCool app only.
We may add, change or remove content at any time.
We work hard to make lessons accurate and helpful, but we do not guarantee exam results or specific learning outcomes.

6. Using the Service properly

You may not:

Get around content protection, payment or parent controls.
Reverse engineer, decompile or interfere with the app or website.
Use bots, scrapers or other automated tools.
Use GuruCool for anything unlawful.

7. Ending the account

A Parent can delete the account at any time from Settings → Parent controls → Delete account. This permanently deletes the account and its data as described in the Privacy Policy. Unused coins are lost when the account is deleted.
We may suspend or close an account that breaks these Terms or puts other children at risk.

8. Our responsibility

We provide GuruCool "as is" and "as available". We do our best to keep it running, but we cannot promise it will always be available or error-free.
To the extent the law allows, GuruCool is not responsible for indirect or consequential losses. Our total responsibility for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the three (3) months before the claim, or INR 5,000 if you paid nothing.
Nothing in these Terms limits rights you have under consumer protection laws that cannot be waived.

9. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. If we make important changes, we will tell Parents in the app or by email before they take effect. If you keep using GuruCool after that, the new Terms apply.

10. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Please contact us first so we can try to sort out any problem. Any dispute that we cannot resolve together will be handled by the courts in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India.
